Resolution Source
This market resolves based on the total return (price return + dividends) in December 2025 of the following sector ETFs:
- Technology → XLK (Technology Select Sector SPDR) :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}
- Health Care → XLV (Health Care Select Sector SPDR) :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}
- Energy → XLE (Energy Select Sector SPDR) :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}
- Consumer Discretionary → XLY (Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR) :contentReference[oaicite:3]{index=3}
Resolution Criteria
- The “sector winner” is the ETF (among XLK, XLV, XLE, XLY) that delivers the highest total return over the December 1–31, 2025 period (or the nearest trading days if markets are closed).
- Returns should include reinvested dividends.
- Use a trusted data provider (e.g., Bloomberg, Morningstar, or S&P) to calculate performance.
- If two or more ETFs tie for highest total return (within a margin of 0.01%), the contract resolves “tie” (or you can define a tie-break rule in your market specification).
Settlement
- The market settles after December 31, 2025 (or after the last trading day of December).
- Use the official closing price (and dividend distributions) from the ETF provider’s website or a reliable pricing source.
- If any ETF is delisted, merged, or materially changes its structure before settlement, then:
- Use the successor ETF’s performance, if one-to-one replacement, or
- Use the ETF's last available performance and prorate as needed (per your market’s fallback rules).
